Google Shopping campaigns, specifically Performance Max campaigns, were a cost-effective way for Renegade Running to boost online sales.

Our Strategic Approach

For maximum efficiency, we launched two separate Performance Max campaigns: one for shoes and one for apparel/accessories

We integrated long headlines and descriptions, allowing us to focus on specific products for each campaign’s targeted demographic/audience.

To promote time-sensitive product/collection launches, we created relevant sitelinks for each campaign. Additionally, we created sitelinks to help generate traffic for some of the less-visited pages, such as the Sales page.

Trained the Renegade Running team on Shopify best practices

This was Renegade Running’s first foray into shopping campaigns, and as a result, there were many blank fields for essential fields such as product identifiers (GTIN/UPC/barcodes, etc.)

We created and shared a best practices document to help align their shopping feed. If we encountered any missing fields in their feed, our constant feedback loop allowed them to correct it quickly to prevent active campaigns from being disrupted.

Revamped all product photos

Because Performance Max campaigns touch several Google platforms (including Discover, Display, and YouTube), high-quality images are crucial to success.

Before, product photos were repurposed from social media channels and were lifestyle-focused (such as teams running together), which didn’t showcase the product well. We worked with Renegade Running’s creative team to showcase the type of product photos that worked best for shoes/apparel.

Within one quarter, our PMax campaigns delivered:
