To optimize the Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, and H1 tags for a page or post on a Shopify website, you will need to go to the individual page or blog post and then edit the Website SEO settings.

  1. Log in to your Shopify website.
  2. Under Sales Channels, click Online Store to bring up the sub-menu, then Pages or Blog Posts depending on which type you would like to optimize.
  3. Select the page you would like to optimize.

  2. Select Products on the left-hand menu.
  3. Select the product you would like to optimize.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the product page to find the Search engine listing preview and click the Edit website SEO text link.
  5. Add your Title Tag under Page title.
  6. Add Your Meta Description under Description.
  7. Edit the H1 tag by changing the Title.
  8. Finally, click Save.

How to Edit the Alt Text on a Shopify Website

Optimizing Alt text on a Shopify website is also a very simple task.

To optimize the alt text of an image:

  1. Go to the page the image lives on.
  2. Double click on the image you would like to add Alt Text to.
  3. Add the Alt text under Image alt text.
  4. Click Edit image.
