Socium Spotlight: Anthony Saladino

You’ve probably heard us say that people aren’t Socium’s most important asset; the right people are Socium’s most important asset. That’s why we started our Socium Spotlight series, where we shine a light on the diverse and unique personalities that make up the Socium team.

For this month’s Socium Spotlight, we’re eager to feature Director of Business Development, Anthony Saladino!

What made you choose this career path?
Before my new Director of Business Development role, I worked in Paid Search. I gravitated towards this area of digital marketing because search plays such a significant role in people’s lives nowadays, and it has always interested me. I recently shifted into a business development focus because I enjoy helping brands grow and succeed, and during this new role, I get to approach it from a different lens.

What made Socium stand out when you were looking for your next adventure?
When I joined, Socium was on the verge of extreme growth. I was excited by the career opportunities being offered and the chance to make a large impact and help shape the agency.

What did you do before coming to Socium?
I worked at another digital marketing agency for 6+ years. Prior to that, I worked in public relations for a few years and before that, I consulted for small businesses. Fun fact, I actually got my start in marketing with a local tattoo shop that I ended up consulting for almost a decade!

What’s your most memorable client win?
Since being assigned to a new client, we’ve seen revenue increase 10x MoM. Our YoY revenue is up over 100% and we’ve been shattering goals to the point where we no longer have a set budget, just guard rails! It’s been a thrill.

What piece of advice would you offer fellow digital marketers?
Be precise and follow the data.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
I would love to go back to Japan. Fingers crossed for 2023!

Dogs for sure!

How do you like your coffee?
I prefer my coffee black.
