Socium Spotlight: Evan Hoeflich

You’ve probably heard us say that people aren’t Socium’s most important asset; the right people are Socium’s most important asset. That’s why we started our Socium Spotlight series, where we shine a light on the diverse and unique personalities that make up the Socium team.

For this month’s Socium Spotlight, we’re excited to feature one of our newest teammates and SEO Manager, Evan Hoeflich!

What made you choose this career path?
I’ve always loved digital marketing and got started early on by helping friends and family build simple websites in my free time. Around 2008, I stumbled upon SEO, found a specific training course teaching the strategy, and fell in love with the subject. I became hooked and dove in head first! Since then, I have worked in various marketing roles and strictly SEO roles for the last 6 years and haven’t looked back.

What made Socium stand out when you were looking for your next adventure?
I really loved navigating through the website and learning about the company’s leadership, the entire Socium team, and the set of clients I could potentially do SEO for.

What did you do before coming to Socium?
I was an SEO manager at a top digital marketing agency in Connecticut.

What piece of advice would you offer fellow digital marketers?
Be able to adapt. Technology, algorithms, and trends are constantly changing, so it’s essential to stay on top of these while being open and versatile at the same time.

What do you do outside of work?
I love to hike and play golf.

What’s something on your bucket list?
I’ve always wanted to surf!

Cats or dogs (or other!)?
Dogs! I have a 1.5 year old chocolate lab named Tye. He’s the best.
