For this month’s Socium Spotlight, we’re excited to feature our Associate Director of Paid Search, Frances Skakel!

What made you choose this career path?
I always wanted a career that involved creativity & experimentation which is why I was initially drawn to digital marketing. Platform best practices are constantly evolving, which creates endless opportunities for problem-solving & thinking on your toes (I still have all 10). 

What’s your favorite job perk that Socium offers?
Free lunch! Anytime we’re in office we can expense up to $18 toward the cuisine of our choosing. My go-to meal? Sweetgreen. My latest regret? Sushi from an establishment not to be named here. 

What did you do before coming to Socium?
I worked at another digital marketing agency for about 2.5 years prior to joining Socium. Before that, I worked at a shoe & handbag company based in NYC.

What piece of advice would you offer fellow digital marketers?
Less is more! Quality goes a lot further than quantity.

How do you like your coffee or tea?
Reheated in the microwave a few times throughout the day because I forget about it.
