For this month’s Socium Spotlight, we’re excited to feature our Shopping & Feeds Director, Kevin Lee!

Looking back on your first day at Socium, how did your expectations compare to the reality of your role?
Joining a new company is always intimidating, but the team was supportive while simultaneously giving me room to operate and leverage my past experience to further contributions both internally and client-facing.

What made you choose this career path?
I wanted to make a career pivot with an emphasis on culture and team morale.

What’s the best lifestyle benefit of working at Socium?
The ability to work remotely has been very helpful as it allows me to drop off my son at daycare or the grandparents and not have to worry about commuting to the office after that.

What did you do before working at Socium?
I had an eclectic background before coming to Socium. I worked in e-commerce, digital marketing, and project management at the NYC Mayor’s Office.

What kind of approach do you take when working with clients?
I think collaboration is key to a successful strategy by compiling different perspectives, hearing various opinions, and using them to craft a plan that will drive the best performance for the client.

Cats or dogs (or other!)?
Dogs! My wife and I have three; we sometimes have to talk ourselves out of adopting a fourth.
